A tour based in the heart of the Priorat wine region that gives you the opportunity to ride some of the best cycling roads in Southern Europe as well as sampling some of the best wines in the world and enjoying a taste of the real interior of Catalonia.

This is a moderate to challenging tour designed with the keen cyclist in mind, but with plenty of options for non cycling companions.

Day 1
Day 1

Arrive and check in to your boutique hotel in the heart of the Priorat.

Take a walk around the village or just relax before dinner.

Day 2
Day 2

Our first day of cycling will see the guides arriving with the bicycles that have been rented, fitting and setting up before departing after breakfast for a route of 64Km with 1480 metres of positive gain, taking us on a circle route through some of the iconic vineyards of the Priorat region and returning to Falset in time for lunch.

In the afternoon enjoy a visit to the Modernist Cooperative Wine Cellar of Falset/Marça.

Today’s departure will take us from Falset into the Montsant Natural Park covering 80Km with nearly 1600 metres of positive.
At midpoint in the route we’ll climb up to the Castle and village of Siurana a 7 Km Category 3 climb that has ramps of up to 19% - well worth the effort for the views from the top.
From Siurana we’ll head towards Escaladei, a 12th Century Carthusian Monastery, the route runs below the spectacular cliffs of the Serra Major of the Montsant Mountain.

We’ll stop in Escaladei for lunch (not included) before heading back towards Falset.

A shorter route today after yesterday’s efforts, 56Km with just over 1000 metres of positive, taking us out towards Bellmunt where we’ll have the chance for a stop at the Bellmunt Mines museum (where they have been mining since the end of the Bronze age) before heading over towards the Chabola Valley, where the International Brigades were camped during the Battle of the Ebro at the end of the Spanish Civil war, onto Marça for a coffee and a quick visit to the Mediterranean Tortoise sanctuary before arriving back into Falset for lunch.

Rest and recuperation day.
Take yourselves out for a leg stretcher, enjoy Falset and the surrounding areas or visit the Castell de Vi (the wine castle) and browse the many wine shops in the village.

The first of 2 days of climbing, today we’ll cover 80Km with just under 1500 metres of positive, we’ll follow the route taken by the 2015 Vuelta de España before heading into the lower part of the Priorat, passing through the Serra de Llaberia and looping around the mountains back towards Falset.

Free afternoon in Falset to prepare for tomorrows Queen stage.

The Queen stage – Montsant Loop.

Todays route is 90 Km with 1700 metres of positive, a route that will take us completely around the Montsant Natural Park, heading out through Gratallops towards La Vilella Baixa, known as the New York of the Priorat and under the western side of the Montsant onto Margalef and Ulldemolins, where we’ll break for lunch before dropping down to Cornudella, Porrera and back to Falset.

In case of an increase in the rate of sales tax (IVA/VAT) or an increase in fuel prices, the final price of the tour will be adjusted accordingly.

Final accommodations maybe subject to change owing to circumstances beyond our control. In this instance, accommodation of at least equal category will be used.

Itinerary may be subject to modification owing to circumstances beyond our control including, but not exclusively weather conditions, road works, sporting events and force majeure.

In case of any incident a Sport No Limit Travel representative will be at your disposal.

Force Majeure - Sport No Limit Travel reserves the right to cancel the trip and return monies paid without penalty or recrimination as a result of, but not restricted to Acts of God (including fire, flood, earthquake, storm, hurricane or other natural disaster), war, invasion, act of foreign enemies, hostilities (regardless of whether war is declared), civil war, rebellion, revolution, insurrection, military or usurped power or confiscation, terrorist activities, nationalisation, government sanction, blockage, embargo, labor dispute, strike, lockout or interruption or failure of electricity or telephone service.

PAYMENT AND CONDITIONS OF CANCELLATION

A deposit of 30% of the total will be collected at the time of reservation to secure your booking.

The remaining balance will be collected 30 days prior to the commencement of services.

Sport No Limit Travel reserves the right to cancel the reservation for non payment of balance.

Cancellation and amendment-:

You have the right to cancel or amend your booking at any time, subject to the following conditions and penalties.

  • Amendments to names or dates will be subject to an administrative fee if made less than 30 days prior to the service commencement date
  • Cancellation with more than 10 days and less than 15 days notice will be subject to 5% penalty of the total cost of the package
  • Cancellation with more than 3 days and less than 10 days notice will be subject to a 15% penalty of the total cost of the package
  • Cancellation with more than 1 day and less than 3 days notice will be subject to a 25% penalty of the total cost of the package
  • Non arrival will result in the loss of all monies paid
